Cares and Prayers

dawntreader

Oh, to entwine the thread of prayer around
These cares and woes, the daily, hourly cares,

The hungry wants that fasten on our lives;
And bind them all upon Thy promises—
Then bid our faith launch these together forth
Upon the sea, the sunlit golden sea
Of Thy rich love—Thus making certain voyage
To Thy great heart—Thence surely bringing back
Rich Argosies, full freighted, laden up
With all Thou seest good to give to us:
The precious things of Love, of Light, of Heaven.
